Our Correspondent | Tuesday, 12 August 2014

RAJSHAHI, Aug 11: Nazrul Islam of Bagha has invented a device to fetch water using pump from underground sources, charge battery driven three wheelers, move fans and light bulbs by using batteries. Nazrul Islam has named his innovation as Power Box.
It is learnt, Nazrul Islam, an electrical technician of village Ahmedpur under Bagha upazila after his three-year effort has succeeded to invent the device which requires no fuel or electricity. He exhibited the operation of Power Box at Shah Dowla Degree College premises recently.
He showed the charging of batteries of three wheelers, operating of fans, lighting of bulbs, fetching of water through shallow-pumps and operation of television at the same time by using the device.
He told this correspondent at least 10 bighas of land will be brought under irrigation through the device. He further mentioned, battery operated auto-drivers will not require to charge their batteries through electricity, rather, his Power Box will charge the autos easily at a very low cost.
He said, he himself invented this fuel saving technology by using a 12 volt battery, one DC motor, one high speed generator, belt, pullies, shaft and power-cables at a cost of Tk 40,000. He further said, the machine would be operated for 20-hour a day with a break of one hour only.
He hoped with further research and investment, he would be able to improve the capacity of the Power Box which will also be cheaper and longer lasting.
