Anisul conducts election campaign at Mirpur

Friday, 17 April 2015

Ruling Awami League (AL)-supported mayoral candidate for Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls Anisul Haque conducted a massive election campaign in the Mirpur Indoor Stadium and adjoining areas of the city on Thursday, reports BSS.
While addressing a street meeting, Anisul Haque said high temperature was one of the major problems in Dhaka.
"I believe if one in every five persons plants a tree, the capital's temperature will fall by 5 degrees in next three years. Money is not a big obstacle to implement this, rather it needs an initiative," the mayor aspirant for DNCC said.
AL Joint General Secretary Dr Dipu Moni, lawmaker Elias Uddin Mollah, Jubo League's Dhaka City North unit president Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil and Anisul Haque's wife and managing director of Mohammadi Group Rubana Haque were present on the occasion.
Later, Anisul joined a view exchange meeting with sports organisers and sportspersons at National Sports Council Bhaban at 12.30pm.
AL Agriculture Affairs Secretary Dr Abdur Razzak, Zahid Hasan Russell, MP, Sylhet City Corporation's former mayor Badruddin Ahmed Kamran, sports organisers Harun-or-Rashid and Badal Roy, former cricketers of national team Naimur Rahman Durjoy, Habibul Bashar Sumon and Minhajul Abedin Nannu and footballers Qaisar Hamid and Elias Hossain were present on the occasion, among others.
