Anniversary of Samad's death observed

The 3rd anniversary of death of MA Samad, founder and former chairman of Bangladesh General Insurance Company (BGIC) Limited, was observed at Dhaka Ladies' Club in the city recently, said a press release.
On the occasion, a discussion was held on the eventful life and career of the deceased especially his pioneering role in the field of insurance industry, his contribution towards literary and cultural field, social services, and his unique role for creating job opportunities.
Also present on the occasion were Fawzia Samad, wife of late MA Samad, BGIC chairman Towhid Samad and Managing Director AK Azizul Huq Chaudhuri, professionals, intellectuals and journalists.
Artistes Mostafa Zaman Abbasi and Asma Abbasi conducted the function.
