Annual Performance Agreements signed

Annual Performance Agreements for the 2015-2016 fiscal were signed between the Cabinet Division and all the ministries or divisions on Sunday, aiming to enhance institutional efficiency as well as ensure accountability of public servants. Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hussain Bhuiyan signed the agreements on behalf of the prime minister while secretaries of the ministries or divisions on behalf of the concerned ministers at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Dhaka. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Ministers, prime minister's advisers, and state ministers witnessed the signing of the agreement. The aim of the agreement is to enhance institutional efficiency as well as ensure accountability, transparency and proper utilisation of resources. The PMO has been pioneering the Performance Management System with the purpose of moving the focus of the ministries  from process-orientation to result-orientation as well as evaluate the performance of the ministries and divisions at the end of the year, according to a news agency.
