Another Bangladeshi dies in Saudi crash

Hours after five Bangladesh nationals were killed in a road crash in the holy city of Makkah, another has died in a mishap in Saudi Arabia's Rafia. Family said Masud Rana was injured when the covered van he was driving from Saudi winter capital of Riyadh to Dammam city, collided with a goods-laden truck around 10:00pm on Wednesday (Saudi Arabian time). He was rushed to a local hospital and succumbed to his injuries around midnight while undergoing treatment there. Rana, 40, was the son of Lutfur Rahman of Mohadebpur of Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila. Earlier on Wednesday morning, five Bangladeshis were killed and two others injured in another road crash in Makkah. The deceased were identified as Nazir Hossain, Aiyub, Farid, Md Alam and Mansur Alam, all hailed from Cox’s Bazar district, according to a news agency.
