Another BCL leader assaulted at RU

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Oct 23: Another leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Rajshahi University (RU) unit, was injured by unidentified miscreants near the campus Wednesday evening.
The victim was identified as Fahim Ahmed, literature affairs secretary of
BCL university unit and also an MBA student of Accounting and Information
System (AIS) department.
Sources said the incident took place at Amzad Morh, near the university area, at 6.30pm while he was returning to the campus. Some
unidentified youths beat him with hockey stick, iron rod and bamboo.
The miscreants left him when the local people came to the scene.
Injured Fahim was immediately sent to the RU medical centre and later he was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) when his condition
deteriorated.
RU Proctor Prof Tariqul Hasan said, "I heard about the matter. However, I don't know who were involved in the incident."
Tariqul Islam Babu, another BCL leader, was stabbed on the campus by unidentified miscreants on Tuesday.
