Another BD blogger hacked to death

A blogger was hacked to death by machete-wielding attackers in Bangladesh on Tuesday, the third killing of a critic of religious extremism in the Muslim-majority nation in less than three months, report agencies.
The Sylhet Ganojagoron Mancha called a half-day hartal for Wednesday (today) in Sylhet city.
Sylhet Ganojagoron Mancha spokesman Debashish Debu called the hartal on Tuesday.
Ananta Bijoy Das, a blogger who advocated secularism, was attacked by four assailants in the northeastern district of Sylhet on Tuesday morning, senior police official Mohammad Rahamatullah.
Rahamatullah said Das was a 33-year-old banker.
Meanwhile, Al-Qaeda's Indian chapter AQIS has claimed credit for blogger Ananta Bijoy Das's murder, according to a tweet by extremist outfit Ansar Bangla 8.
