Another Comilla bus arson victim dies at DMCH

A man, who suffered burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack by miscreants on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chandina upazila of Comilla district on June 2, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Friday. The deceased was identified as Ranjit Sharma, 60, a retired teacher of Rangamati Government Women’s College. On June 2, unidentified miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the Rangamati-bound bus of ‘Unique Paribahan’ in front of the Chandina Jute Research Institute adjacent to Chandina upazila sadar around 12.00am, leaving the seven people injured. Mozammel Haque, inspector of DMCH police camp, said Ranjit who had received 46 per cent burn injuries in the incident succumbed to his injures around 3.00 am. Ranjit had been undergoing treatment at DMCH, he said, according to a news agency.
