Another gold haul at Ctg airport

Customs officials seized 138 gold bars, weighing 16 kg, at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong  on Saturday night. Mashiur Rahman Mondal, assistant commissioner (customs) of the airport, said a flight of ‘Flydubai’ from Dubai landed at the airport around 7:45pm. A team of custom officials found a luggage against the name of M Sarwar of Fatikchhari in an abandoned condition after all the passengers got down from the aircraft. Later, they recovered the 138 gold bars, worth Tk 69 million, from the bag around 9pm, said Mashiur Rahman, according to a news agency.
