Another Laskar-e-Taiyeba man held

Detective police have arrested another alleged member of an Indian militant group Laskar-e-Taiyeba from the capital's Dakhinkhan area Monday night.
Officials of DB (detective branch) police said that they arrested Moulana Mohammad Monsur Ali alias Moulana Habibullah at Madrasa-Tur-Rahmanat at Saodagarbari in the city's Dakkhin Khan area.
"The arrest was made following a confessional statement of Laskar-e-Taiyeba member who was arrested earlier and another Indian national Mufti Obaidullah," DB deputy commissioner Maniru l Islam told reporters at a press briefing at its headquarters Tuesday noon.
Moulana Monsur, who was a permanent resident of Paddapukur village under Mamabhagina post office in Uttar Chabbish Pargana of India, had entered Bangladesh illegally in 1995 and was working as a teacher at the madrasa.
