Another man held for sheltering Nur

Another man has been arrested in Jessore on charges of sheltering Nur Hossain, the prime suspect in Narayanganj 7-murder case. Jessore SP Anisur Rahman said they detained ‘Moshiur’ on Tuesday and handed him over to Narayanganj police. Narayanganj Ward-2 Councillor and Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam, his four aides, senior local lawyer Advocate Chandan Kumar Sarkar and his car driver were kidnapped on April 27. Their dead bodies were retrieved from Sitalakhyya and Dhaleswari rivers some days later. Nur Hossain is the suspected mastermind behind the abduction and murder. Nazrul Islam’s family alleged that Hossain had paid RAB-11 for the murders. Police on May 15 arrested Hossain’s former employee Kamal Hossain of Shyamalgachhi village of Jessore’s Sharsha Upazila for sheltering him. During questioning, Kamal admitted that Moshiur, Badsha and several others had sheltered and helped Hossain flee to India, according to bdnews24.com.
