Another N\\\'ganj businessman missing

Hardly one week after the abduction and the killings of seven people, including Narayanganj City Corporation’s panel mayor Nazrul Islam and eminent lawyer Chandan Sarker, another case of suspected abduction has been reported in the city. A businessman from Narayanganj's Bandar area has been missing for the last 30 hours. Md Amanullah, 35, is missing since Monday morning. He was carrying Tk 400,000 when he went missing, his family says. They said Amanullah had left his home in Minarbarhi, South Musapur, around 6am on Monday, and his phone had been out of reach since 9am, his brother Moktar Hossain said. Amanullah had not reached the place in Gazipur where he was headed to make purchases for his business, he said. A general diary (GD) was filed with Bandar Police Station at night. Moktar said their younger brother, Amir Hossain, had received an anonymous phone call around 2pm on Monday, advising him to look for Amanullah in Tongi. The trader’s family fears he has been abducted. Bandar Police Station OC Akhter Morshed admitted the incident, according to a news agency.
