Another on fresh remand over Ananta murder

SYLHET, Sept 09: A Sylhet court placed on Wednesday accused Abul Khayer on a seven-day fresh remand for his alleged involvement in the killing of blogger Ananta Bijoy Das.
Sylhet Metropolitan Judicial Magistrate Shahedul Karim passed the order when inspector Arman Ali of Criminal Investigation Department (CID sought a 15-day remand.
Banker Ananta was hacked to death in the Sylhet city's Subidbazar area on May 12 on his way to office in Sunamganj.
Earlier on September 02, police arrested Khayer from Tukerbazar in the city on suspicion of his involvement in the killing of the blogger.
On the same day, the court placed him on a seven-day remand.
