Another RAB man held in N\\\'ganj seven murders

Law enforcers arrested a Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) member, an accused in the sensational seven-murder case of Narayanganj, from Saneswar village in Baufal upazila early Tuesday. The arrested was identified as Ruhul Amin, 32, a lance corporal of Bangladesh Army who was working at Rab-11 on deputation when the seven murders took place. Police had information that Ruhul Amin would stay at his house to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with his near and dear ones, said officer-in-charge of Baufal Police Station Naresh Chandra Karmakar. Based on the information, a joint team of Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police and Narayanganj and Baufal thana police conducted a drive at the village home of Ruhul around 5am and arrested him, he said. Later, the detectives took him to Narayanganj. The OC said the Rab man was accused in a case filed with Fatullah Police Station in Narayanganj in connection with the seven murders, according to a news agency.
