Another RAB man taken on 7-day remand

A court in Narayanganj placed on Sunday another member of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-11 - Asaduzzaman Nur - on a seven-day remand in a case filed in connection with the Narayanganj seven murders, reports UNB.
Senior Judicial Magistrate KM Mahiuddin passed the order after
Detective Branch officer-in-charge Mamunur Rashid, also investigation officer of the case, produced him before his court seeking a 10-day remand for the accused.
RAB sources said the elite force arrested Asaduzzaman for his alleged involvement in the seven murders from Siddhirganj area of the city on Saturday.
Earlier On April 27, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, his three associates and driver were abducted from Fatullah area in Narayanganj city.
Hours into their abduction, senior lawyer of the Narayanganj District Judge's Court, Chandan Kumar Sarker, and his driver were abducted on their way to capital Dhaka.
