Ansar beat Dhaka Cricketers

Ansar and VDP beat Dhaka Cricketers by 193 runs in their first match of the 5th National Women's Club Cricket League at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothisthan (BKSP) Ground-4 in Savar Thursday, reports UNB.
Batting first after winning the toss, Ansar and VDP posted a challenging 233 runs for 5 wickets in stipulated 40 overs with opener Farzana Akter scoring unbeaten 79 runs off 118 balls that featured five fours.
In the opening stand, Farzana pairing with Shahnaz Parveen (27) contributed 62 runs in 9.2 overs.
Farzana again partnering with skipper Panna Ghosh (34) in the third wicket contributed 65 runs in 11.3 overs before Panna was clean bowled by Afsana Akter Mim, with team total at 156/3 in 27.3 overs.
Tithi Rani scored 21 runs while Chameli Khatun and Fatema Jahan added 16 runs each.
Shahida Akter, Maksuda Akter, Afsana Akter Mim and Sohagi Khatun took one wicket each for 18, 34, 39 and 48 runs respectively.
Chasing 234 runs to win, Dhaka Cricketers were dismissed cheaply for 40 runs in 26.3 overs. There were no double digit scorers for Dhaka Cricketers.
Tithi Rani claimed 4 wickets for 8 runs, Shamima Akther Rinki grabbed 3 wickets for 6 runs, Panna Ghosh took 2 wickets for 16 runs while Champa Chakma took 1 wicket without giving any run. Player-of-the-match: Farzana Akter (Ansar and VDP)
The day's two other matches, Abahani Ltd beat Orient Sporting Club by 135 runs at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium while Kalabagan Krira Chakra defeated Rayer Bazar Athletic by 37 runs at BKSP Ground-3 in Savar.
Abahani vs Orient SC
Batting first after winning the toss Abahani scored 218 runs for 7 in 40 overs with Sharmin Sultana contributing 89 runs off 102 balls that included 11 fours.
Reshma Akter Adori scored 28 runs while Sharmin Akter added not out 22 and Montaha Khatun made 13 runs.
Papri Akter claimed 2 wickets for 36 runs; Sudha Rani, Sabrina Akter and Munni Ara took 1 wicket each for 31, 34 and 36 runs respectively.
Chasing 219 runs, Orient SC were restricted at 83 for 9 in 40 overs with Sabrina Akter scoring team highest 28 not out while Dilara Aktar Dola added 13 runs.
Suborna Islam claimed 3 wickets for 20 runs while Lata Mondol took 2 wickets for 11 runs.

Kalabagan KC vs Rayer Bazar
Batting first after winning the toss, Kalabagan KC scored 204 runs for 8 wickets in stipulated 40 overs.
Lili Rani scored team highest 42 not out while Rifat Ara (29), Ayesha Akter (27), Rozina Aktar (26), Eiti Islam (12) and Tarifa Parvin (10) were the other notable scorers for Kalabagan KC.
Rupa Abedin and Aleya Akter Alo grabbed two wickets each for 26 and 43 runs respectively while Arifa Khatun, Sheila Akter and Nadezda Muntaha took one wicket apiece.
Chasing 205 runs to win, Rayer Bazar scored 131 runs for 9 in 40 overs.
Sunny Rahman Mishu scored team highest 33 runs while Habiba Akther added 12 runs.
