Ansar retain National Women's Handball title

Bangladesh Ansar and VDP retained the title of EXIM Bank 35th National Women's Handball competition beating Bangladesh Police Handball Club by 33-24 goals in the final held at Shaheed Captain Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Friday, reports BSS.
Alpona Akter of the winning team was named the player of the match for her impressive performance.
Earlier, on the day, Jamalpur District Sports Association (DSA) finished at third position in the meet defeating Jessore DSA by 21-14 goals in the place-deciding encounter also held at the same venue.
EXIM Bank Limited PLC managing director and chief executive officer Mohammad Firoz Hossain was the chief guest in the final and distributed prizes among the winners.
Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) president AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul presided over the opening ceremony. BHF general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, it's vice president Nurul Islam, it's assistant general secretary Salahuddin Ahmed, among others, were also present on the occasion.
