Ansar take title

Bangladesh Ansar emerged champions in the Citycell National Women's Football Championship with a 2-0 win over Narayanganj in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Sunday.
Narayanganj kept mighty Ansar at bay until Suinu Pru Marma put Ansar ahead in the 41st minute and Rawshan Akhter ensured the trophy striking the team's second goal in the 62nd minute.
Suinu Pru was later adjudged best player of the championship while Preeti Rani Sarkar of VDP won the highest scorer award with eight goals.
Jessore, a semi-finalist, won the Fair Play trophy.
Commerce Minister Col (retd) Faruq Khan distributed prizes among the players while Citycell head of marketing Anand Rajasingham and BFF president Kazi Salahuddin were also present, reports bdnews24.com.
