Ansar-VDP DG for expediting welfare programmes

RAJSHAHI, Oct 24 (BSS): Director General of Anser-VDP Major General Zahidur Rahman has asked the field level officials to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty for successful implementation of the government-sponsored development programs. In this context, he said the sincere efforts will supplement the government endeavor to build a poverty and hunger-free digital Bangladesh as dreamt by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He made this observation while addressing the Rajshahi divisional Ansar-VDP officials and Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank officials at its Range conference hall here on Sunday afternoon as the chief guest. Major General Zahidur Rahman said the Ansar force played a glorious role after giving guard of honor to the Mujib Nagar government during the great liberation war and the heroic act would remain as 'immemorial' to the whole nation. The present government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has adopted various pragmatic measures for welfare of the Ansar- VDP and the nation as well, he said. He said the members of Ansar-VDP have been playing vital roles in rooting out terrorism and social crimes to ensure a peaceful and developed society in the country. The Anser-VDP chief hoped that the Bangladesh could raise its head in the world as a middle-income nation through successful implementation of the government's pledge to build digital Bangladesh by 2021.
