Ansar-VDP members asked to achieve self-reliance

RANGPUR, Dec 28 (BSS): Speakers at the concluding ceremony of five-week training course here on Saturday asked the Ansar-VDP members for achieving self-reliance through various income generation activities to accelerate uplift.
The District Ansar-VDP office organised the training course for the Ansar-VDP members on repairing and maintenance of mobile phone sets since November 23 last at its Mahiganj Regional Vocational Training Centre in the city.
Divisional Range Director of Ansar-VDP Dulal Chandra Sarker attended the concluding ceremony and distributed certificates among the trainees as the chief guest with District Commander Mahbubur Rahman in the chair.
District Commander Mahbubur Rahman, Sadar Upazila Ansar-VDP Officer Sheikh Mahfuzur Rahman, Technical Trainer Akmal Hossain Shimu and Mishnur Islam conducted the training course as resource persons and technical trainers.
Twenty-four Ansar-VDP members, aged between 18 and 25 years, from Rangpur, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh, Chapainawabganj and Naogaon districts participated in the course on mobile phone set repairing and maintenance.
The speakers said Ansar-VDP members have been contributing substantially in building congenial atmosphere for rural uplift through rendering sincere services and creating mass awareness and eliminating social crimes and curses.
