Ansarullah Bangla Team banned

The government has banned Islamic militant outfit 'Ansarullah Bangla Team' for its involvement in anti-state activities. The Home Ministry issued Monday a gazette notification outlawing the Islamic militant outfit, State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan said. On May 16, police sent a proposal to the ministry for a ban on the militant group. The ban came after Dhaka University vice chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique and nine other prominent citizens received death threat from the 'Ansarullah Bangla Team' recently. —UNB
