Ansarullah Bangla Team media chief held in city

The members of the Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested a leader of banned extremist group Ansarullah Bangla Team in the city on Wednesday night. Being informed, a team of detectives arrested the media wing chief of the outlawed militant outfit the city’s Kalyanpur area. DB police, without disclosing the name of the arrestee, identified him as the media wing chief of the Islamist group. Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Masudur Rahman said following secret information, he was picked up from a house in Kalyanpur late at night, according to a news agency.
