CHITTAGONG, Sept 5: In an anti-adulteration drive the district magistracy sealed off a ghee producing factory and fined two others for making adulterated ghee in the city today.
BSTI office in Chittagong said district magistrate Nurul Huq conducted the mobile court comprising the police and BSTI officials at Danapo ghee producing factory owned by Taher Food Products at Baizid area in the city.
They found huge quantities of ghee produced without approval of the BSTI. The court confiscated the produce and sealed off the factory.
In separate drives the court fined SB Enterprice of Chatteswari Road Tk 39,000 and A-7 ghee at Hamzarbag Tk 80,000 for producing sub-standard ghee.
