Anti-corruption rally held in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Mar 29: A colourful rally was brought out in Gopalganj town Tuesday morning to create awareness about corruption among the people. Gopalganj District Corruption Resistance Committee organised the rally. Officials of local administration, political leaders, teachers, students, journalists, NGO's and local elites participated in the rally with chanting slogans and parading main roads of the town. After the rally, a discussion meeting was held at DC Office conference room, Gopalganj. Sheikh Yousuf Harun, D.C, Gopalganj was the chief guest and Md. Moniruzzaman, Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Gopalganj was present as special guest. Md. Enamul Kabir, Vice-President of the committee, Gopalganj, presided over the discussion meeting. Among others Chowdhury Md. Akramuzzaman, vice-president of corruption resistance committee, Gopalganj, Kazi Abul Hossain, Former Head Teacher of S.M. Model High School, Mufti Md. Saidul Islam, imam of Palchuria Jammea Mosque, Gopalganj town addressed on the occasion.
