APJ Abdul Kalam no more

Former Indian president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam passed away at a hospital in Meghalaya’s Shillong on Monday evening. He was 83. Eminent nuclear scientist Kalam suddenly fell ill and collapsed at the Indian Institute of Management-Shillong while delivering a lecture to the students of the B-school on Monday. He was rushed to a private hospital in the capital of India’s Meghalaya state. Later, he was taken to Intensive Care Unit of the Bethany Hospital. "The former president was brought almost dead to our hospital,” said John Sailo Ryntathiang, director of Bethany Hospital. He breathed his last around 6:30pm local time, hospital doctors said. Sailo said he died of massive cardiac arrest. Dr Kalam was born in Rameswaram on October 15, 1931, to the family of a boatman. He was the 11th President on India between 2002 and 2007, according to Indian Express.
