Apparel businessman Enamul remanded

A Chittagong court on Sunday placed apparel businessman Enamul Haque on a five-day remand on charge of providing financial support to the militant organization Shaheed Hamza Brigade.
Banshkhali senior judicial magistrate Sazzad Hossain passed the order against a seven-day remand prayer.
RAB Chittagong Zone director Lt Col Miftah Uddin Ahmed said after the court had granted five-day remand, he was taken to RAB office for interrogation.
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 detained Enamul Hoque from Turag area of Tongi in Gazipur around 10am on Saturday for depositing Tk1.6 million to a bank account of an organizer of Shaheed Hamza Brigade in August, 2014.
Lieutenant colonel Miftah Uddin Ahmed said the apparel businessman was arrested after evidence of financing militancy was found against him.
Earlier on August 18, three lawyers, including Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Shakila Farzana, were arrested from Dhanmondi area of Dhaka on allegation of providing Tk 1.8 crore to Shaheed Hamza Brigade.
