Prodip Chandra Howlader, a low-paid employee of a private firm, has been suffering from acute kidney disease.
Doctors at Christian Medical College, Vellore in India have suggested kidney transplant for this 46-year-old only income earner of his family.
His sister has agreed to donate one of her kidneys but his financial position made worse by the treatment cost so far renders him unable to bear the operation cost amounting to about Tk 800,000.
