Appellate Division to hear Mujaheed appeal Wednesday

Bangladesh’s top appeals judges will begin hearing Wednesday Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujaheed’s appeal against his death sentence for war crimes case.
The case is on the top of the Appellate Division’s business agenda for the day, which was published  Tuesday.
The Appellate Division bench, headed by Chief Justice Md Muzammel Hossain, will hear the appeal.
Other members of the bench are justices Surendra Kumar Sinha, Md Abdul Wahhab Miah, Hasan Foez Siddique and AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury.
The same bench had heard the appeal of Delwar Hossain Sayedee, whose death sentence was revised to life in prison, according to a news agency.
