Appellate Division upholds Badi\\\'s bail in graft case

Appellate Division (AD) of the Supreme Court (SC) upheld the High Court (HC) order Tuesday granting six months' bail to Cox's Bazar-4 constituency lawmaker Abdur Rahman Badi in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), reports BSS.
A four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Justice SK Sinha passed the order after disposing of the ACC appeal against Badi's bail order.
The apex court also warned Badi after taking into cognisance a report published in a newspaper on his remarks.
Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru moved for Badi while Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan for the ACC.
Earlier on October 27, an HC division bench granted a six-month interim bail to Badi in an ACC case for acquiring illegal wealth and also issued a rule upon the concerned authority asking why permanent bail should not be granted for Badi.
