State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the government will very soon appoint 17,000 people in Bangladesh police force. ‘There is only one policeman for 1,035 people in Bangladesh currently,’ the state minister said adding that the government was planning to raise that ratio to one policeman for 800 people. ‘Very soon 17,000 police members will be appointed. Everything is going according to the plan. Now we need your cooperation,’ he informed while addressing a programme, according to a news agency.
