The board of directors of MIDAS Financing Limited (MFL), in its recent meeting, has decided to renew the service tenure of the company's Managing Director (MD) Md Abdur Rashid Gazi for a further period of three years with effect from April 15, 2007.
Gazi joined MFL on April 15, 2004 as MD. Prior to joining the company he served as executive vice president of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited.
He started his career as a financial analyst with Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation. He also worked with Raspit Securities and Management Limited as executive director, and with Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) as deputy general manager.
MFL turned into a leading non-bank financial institution under his leadership, said a press release.
