Aramit Limited approves 65pc dividend

Aramit Limited, Chittagong has declared 65pc dividend (50pc stock & 15pc cash ) in the 39th Annual General Meeting of the company held in Chittagong Saturday.
The meeting was presided over by Mr. Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, Chairman & Managing Director of the Company. The meeting was attended among others by, Mr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Mr. Md. Iftikhar-uz-zaman, Mr. Alfaz Uddin Ahmed, Mr. Kafil Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Mr. S. M. Jamal Ahmed, Mr. S. M. Rezaur Rahman, Directors of the Company. Mr. Md. Ibrahim Khalil FCMA, Executive Director & Company Secretary spoke on the occasion.
It was disclosed in the meeting that the company earned net profit before income tax of Tk 109.45 million and net profit after income tax of Tk. 82.79 million for the year ended 31 December 2009.
It was also informed to the valued shareholders that the Company made considerable progress during the year. The overall sales in value exceeded by 5.63% in the year 2009 over 2008. Net Profit before income tax increased by 15.52% and the Net profit after income tax increased by 16.81% as against last year. The Company contributed Tk. 129.40 million to the National Exchequer in the form of Value Added Tax, Income Tax and Customs Duty during the year.
The Chairman and the Managing Director of the Company replied the various queries of the shareholders. The Shareholders expressed their satisfaction on the continuous progress and success of the Company, finally the shareholders approved the Annual Financial Statements along with the report of the Auditors and the Directors thereon for the year ended 31 December 2009.
