Archbishop of Canterbury visits Savar church

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby has visited the St Joseph Church in Anandapur under Savar Upazila of Dhaka district. Church of Bangladesh Moderator Bishop Paul S Sarker welcomed him to the church upon arrival. The archbishop was accompanied by his wife Caroline Welby and Church Canon David Porter. Archbishop Welby, who is the principal leader of the Church of England, conducted a prayer at St Joseph Church and enjoyed a cultural event. He also visited the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) in Savar. Officials from several embassies accompanied the archbishop during his visit, according to UNB.
