Archers ready to surprise

Saturday, 16 January 2010

Bangladeshi archers are determined to give their best to win the Gold medals in two events of the SA Games, reports UNB.
Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal, general secretary of Bangladesh Archery Federation, was upbeat about the success.
"We've improved in a way that is notable; we now have five archers within the top 200 of the world ranking. We'll try our best to provide the country with a surprise present," he said at a press conference at the BOA conference room in the city Friday.
James John Priestman, the British coach, who has won Bronze medals in Barcelona and Seoul Olympics, said: "I was surprised to see the talents of the Bangladesh archers, they have improved by miles. The realistic expectation is silver but it can turn into a gold taking the home advantage."
