Mashrur Arefin has joined The City Bank Limited as executive vice president (EVP) with the charge of setting up retail or consumer banking business for the bank.
Prior to joining City Bank, he served the Eastern Bank Limited as head of consumer banking.
Arefin started his banking career in 1995 by joining the now defunct ANZ Grindlays Bank as a management trainee.
He worked for American Express Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank NA at home and abroad in senior positions.
