I wish to offer my heartiest and profoundest congratulations to Fazle Hasan Abed of Brac on being conferred a knighthood (Knight Commander) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of his most noble services to the poor, deprived, disadvantaged and disposed, of Bangladesh and elsewhere.
This honour by Her Majesty, no doubt, is an outward expression of the many awards bestowed deep in the hearts and prayers of the vast number of people he has helped and inspired over the decades and on their behalf, I share my colourful bouquet of congratulations and thanks.
May Sir Fazle Hasan Abed live long, in good health and in happiness.
