Police recovered six pistols, 41 bullets and four hand bombs in a bag, believed to be dumped by activists of Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), from Garobazar area in Ghatail upazila on Tuesday morning. Officer-in-charge of Ghatail Police Station Fazlul Kabir said locals spotted a bag in a bush by Dhaka-Garobazar Road at about 9am and informed police. Later, the law enforcers recovered the six pistols, 41 rounds of bullets, four hand bombs and eight magazines from the bag. The JMB militants might have dumped the arms and ammunition in the area after the snatching of three convicted members of the militant outfit from a police van in Mymensingh, police said, according to UNB.
