Arms trader held with pistol, ammo

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 20 (UNB): Police arrested an alleged arms trader in possession of one foreign made pistol, two magazines and five rounds of bullet from Tarapur Bazar area under Shibganj Upazila on Friday night.
The arrestee was identified as Mahbub Alam (29), son of Emran Alam, a resident of the same village.
OC of Shibganj thana MM Moynul Islam said on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Mahbub while he was trying to sell the arms.
