Arms trader held with pistol in C\\\'nawabganj

Police arrested an alleged arms trader in possession of one foreign-made pistol, two magazines and four rounds of bullet from Kalupur area in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Saturday night. The arrestee was identified as Mithun Ali, 22, son of Rabu Ali, a resident of Dhanapara village of the same upazila. MM Moynul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station said tipped off a team of police conducted a drive in the area and intercepted a human hauler at about 9:30 pm. Later, the law enforcers recovered one foreign-made pistol, two magazines and four rounds of bullet searching the vehicle and arrested Mithun. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
