Army chief pins hopes on existing laws

Army Chief Moeen U Ahmed recently has expressed his firm belief that the action against the corrupt would be possible to be continued under the existing laws, though there are some legal problems.
He expressed the firm belief in a letter written to Paris-based businessman Ashraful Islam in a reply to the latter's recent correspondence suggesting some measures aimed at the well-being of the nation as well as the country.
The army chief also said implementation of some of the measures has already begun, but due to different legal complications the pace of it is slow to some extent.
Ashraful is the President of Jatiya Party in France and the managing director of Classic Group based in France.
