Army chief visits Faridpur today

FARIDPUR, Aug 18: Chief of Army Staff General Moeen U Ahmed is to arrive here today (Sunday) to visit the worst flood-affected areas. He will distribute relief among the affected people and fertiliser and seeds among farmers. The army chief is scheduled to see operation of the army-run mobile hospital that provides treatment to people suffering from flood-related diseases. He will exchange views with elite of the town and senior officials in the afternoon. —UNB
