Army, navy men leave for Sudan

Two contingents of Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy comprising 127 members left Dhaka Sunday by a UN chartered plane to take part in UN peacekeeping operations in Sudan, reports UNB.
Colonel Sumon Barua is leading the Army contingent consisting of 80 members while Captain M Bashir Uddin Ahmed is leading the 47-member Navy contingent.
They will replace the 253 members, including 93 from Bangladesh Navy in Sudan.
Director (Personnel Services and Provost Marshal) Brigadier General Md Moazzom Hossain and Admin Authority of Dhaka Area Naval Command Commodore ASMA Baten saw off the Army and Navy contingents respectively at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
