Army officer held with Phensidyl

Police detained an army officer and seized 51 bottles of Phensidyl from a private car he was riding along with his two civilian companions early Thursday. Maj. Imtiaj Nasim and two others were detained at Kamalpur Mirdhapara in Bakshiganj upazila of Jamalpur district, local police officer Nurul Islam Khan said. He said Maj. Imtiaz was handed over to senior officials of army, while a case was filed against his companions Mamun and Sayeed with Bakshiganj police station under Nacotics Control Act. Army officials were not available for comments, according to UNB.
