Army provides treatment, blankets to distressed people in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Jan 13 (BSS): Bangladesh Army on Wednesday provided quality health services and medicines free of cost to 500 women and children and blankets among cold-stricken people in a medical camp held in the metropolitan city.
Under management of 66 Infantry Division and 72 Infantry Brigade of Rangpur Area of Bangladesh Army, the camp was arranged at Rangpur Collectorate School and College ground under supervision of 30 BIR Battalion.
30 BIR Battalion provided health services and blankets on behalf of 72 Infantry Brigade of 66 Infantry Division as part of its special healthcare services marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Winter Training 2020-2021.
Commanding Officer of 30 BIR Battalion Lt Colonel Md Hedayetul Islam lunched the camp and inspected medical tests and health services on maternal health, gynecological problems, pediatrics and other illnesses to women and children of different ages.
A four-member medical team provided improved health care, conducted various tests and distributed medicines free of cost to about 500 women, pregnant women, newborn babies and children. Later, the Army officials distributed blankets among cold-hit people who came from different areas of the metropolitan city. Meanwhile, many beneficiary people expressed satisfaction over the free medical services, medicines and blankets from the Army.
