Army start building collapse rescue operation at Begunbari

Bangladesh Army started rescue operation at South Begunbari in the city from Tuesday midnight to recover bodies and injured people from the debris of a collapsed five-storey building, reports BSS.
So far, 14 bodies and two injured people were recovered from the rubble, an ISPR press release said.
Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division Lt Gen Abdul Wadud visited the spot and gave necessary directives to the army personnel engaged in the rescue operation. 14 Satantra (Independent) Engineer Brigade Commander Brig Gen M Sharafat Hossain is coordinating the overall rescue operation.
