Army thrash Air Force by 13-3 goals in Water Polo

Bangladesh Army team thrashed Bangladesh Air Force team by 13-3 goals in the opening match of the Inter-Services Swimming and Water Polo Competition that began at the Bangladesh Navy Swimming Complex at Banani in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
In the 100-metre backstroke, Rubel Rana of the Navy won the gold medal, Wasiul Islam of the Army bagged the silver and MM Ahmed of the Navy got the bronze.
The Army team showed their dominance in the 100-metre breaststroke as Jahangir Alam and Kamal Hossain won the gold and silver medals respectively. Niaz Ali of the Navy claimed the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, in the 4x200-metre freestyle, Navy grabbed the gold medal, Army received the silver and Air Force took the bronze.
Earlier, acting Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division M Zarziul Islam inaugurated the meet as chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners in different swimming events.
Some 157 competitors representing the Army, Navy and the Air Force teams are participating in different swimming events and water polo competition.
