Army, Titas Gas win

The Minister 18th Independence Day Volleyball Tournament, organised by Bangladesh Volleyball Federation, began at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
Holders Bangladesh Army made a good start beating Power Development Board by 25-23, 25-23, 25-14 points in the opening match while last time runners-up Titas Gas defeated Boarder Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 25-15, 25-14, 25-24 in the day's other match.
Earlier, Chairman of the meet's sponsor My One Electronics Industries Abdur Razzak Khan inaugurated the four-day meet at a simple ceremony in the afternoon.
Bangladesh Volleyball Federation General Secretary Ashiqur Rahman Miku gave the welcome speech on the occasion. Tournament secretary Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul and Director of My One Electronics Industries Abdul Latif Khan were present.
Six teams-defending champions Bangladesh Army, runners-up Titas Gas, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Navy, Border Guard Bangladesh, and Bangladesh Power Development Board-are taking part in the meet.
