Arrest Nandita\\\'s attackers: Nahid

SYLHET, Oct 12 (UNB): Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid directed on Sunday the authorities concerned to take legal action against those involved in attacking Nandita Debi, a class X student of Syed Hatim Ali High School in the city.
On Saturday, Nandita Debi, a class X student of Syed Hatim Ali High School in the city, was stabbed and wounded by her classmate Sakib as Nandita turned down his proposal for engaging in affair.
Observing the report published in a daily newspaper, the minister made phone calls to Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahidul Islam and acting Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Ruhul Amin, and asked them to arrest the offenders.
The minister also talked to the family members of the victim over phone and assured them of providing legal assistance.
