Arrest N\\\'ganj killers by Tuesday: Khaleda

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has demanded that the perpetrators of Narayanganj seven-murder be arrested by Tuesday. She also renewed her demand to disband Rapid Action Battalion (Rab). “We’ve come to know Rab has sent Nur Hossain to India. They’re helping offenders flee the country and kill and abduct and make people disappeared. Why are they so powerful? They’ve terrorised people,” she said while consoling the family members of lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker and his driver Ibrahim in Jahlkuri under Fatullah upazila in Narayganj district on Tuesday afternoon. Khaleda deplored the government is yet to arrest the killers of seven people despite the High Court order. “Though it’s now clear who were behind the murders, the government is not arresting them. It’s proved this regime is patronising the killers. This is a killer regime. They’ve indulged in killing spree through Rab,” she alleged. She strongly demanded that the killers of Narayanganj city councilor Nazrul Islam, senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker and five other people be arrested by Tuesday and the security of the family members who are speaking up about the murders be ensured, according to a news agency.
