Arrest of all war criminals demanded

Speakers at a discussion have urged the government to arrest all identified war criminals immediately to thwart conspiracy by certain quarters against the trial of crimes against humanity, reports BSS.
They also said the government should complete all necessary investigations against the alleged war criminals.
Dhaka city unit Bangabandhu Academy organised the discussion on 'Conspiracy by the opposition to foil the trial of the war criminals' at the city's Dhaka Reporters' Unity Tuesday.
They also asked the government to expedite the trial process by involving active and efficient manpower so that the trial could be staged within the shortest possible time.
General secretary of the city unit of Awami League (AL) Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya attended the discussion as chief guest, while adviser of the Academy Lion Mujibur Rahman presided over.
Publicity and Publication Secretary of Dhaka City Unit AL Abdul Haque Sobuj, Bangabandhu Academy Chairman Hemayet Uddin and Managing Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) M Azizul Islam Bhuiyan addressed the function as special guests.
